About the Luis Jimenez

 

"Art is like food for my soul and brain, it keeps me sane".





Luis was born in New Jersey, USA. He began working in the steel and sheet metal industry in the early '90's.



His first experience with plastic arts was during the early '90's, taking personalized courses and work shops in graphics, painting, wood sculpture, and stainless glass, with different professors and experts in Colombia and the United States.



 

In 2000, he decided to form his own manufacturing and distribution of sheet metal products.



In 2009 Luis presented his first sculpture project in Area 23 Art Gallery in Miami, Florida. His work was also exhibited at the Philharmonic Center for the Arts in Naples, Florida. The sculpture was produced in welded aluminium and steel, both in large and medium format.
